IHNOW Structure

 

The mission of the IHNOW Funds is to positively leverage the economic power that community residents yield as workers, consumers, ratepayers and taxpayers through investments in businesses with substantial ties to the regional community.

 

It is proposed that IHNOW Funds be incorporated as a business trust or corporation and that IHNOW.ORG be organized as a non-profit and be designated the investment advisor to the IHNOW Funds.  The broad mission of the non-profit would be to advance the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of the residents of the regional community through the development of diverse and sustainable business activities.  As a 501(c)3,  IHNOW. ORG can solicit funds to provide IHNOW Fund scholarships to young people new to investing who express or demonstrate a commitment to the regional community. IHNOW.ORG can also seek free or discounted professional services which could be tax deductible to the donor.
